Harbor + Hope Counseling
Welcome to Harbor and Hope Counseling, a counseling practice dedicated to helping individuals, mothers, couples, and families find steady support during life’s difficult seasons. Whether you are navigating postpartum challenges, trauma, anxiety, relationship stress, or family transitions, counseling can provide a safe space to process your story, build practical tools, and begin moving toward healing.
Hey y’all!
I’m Chelsea Keener, and it is so nice to meet you.
I’m an Associate Licensed Counselor and National Certified Counselor serving clients in Dothan, Alabama, and through virtual counseling across the state. I am passionate about walking alongside women, mothers, and families as they navigate some of life’s most tender and overwhelming moments.
My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and practical. I believe clients deserve a space where they can be honest without judgment, supported with care, and equipped with tools that help them move forward.
I have a special interest in postpartum mental health, trauma recovery, family relationships, anxiety, and emotional wellness.
Currently under the supervision of Adam Williams, LPC-S, MSW. I currently accept self-pay clients.

Motherhood
It is not always easy.
It is not always fun.
But it is always worth it.
And if you are experiencing any sort of emotions that you just don’t feel like yourself, then please talk to someone. Talk to me.
I didn’t have anyone to talk to when I didn’t feel like myself.
I felt alone.
By the grace of God, He intervened and refined me through some radical circumstances.
And since the Lord has opened my eyes to keep a watch out for other mamas who may not be acting or feeling like themselves.
To let them know that it is okay. It’s okay to talk about it. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to feel off. It’s okay to deal with the emotions rushing through your mind and heart.
It’s okay to talk to someone. To talk with your husband and clue him in on something he will never understand.
To allow him the space to step in and support you as you walk through this journey of motherhood.
Whether it’s the first child or the last. Or anywhere in between.
Please talk about how you feel.
I am here to support you in this journey.
